Panasonic is an electronics company headquartered in Osaka, Japan. The more than fifty year old company manufactures and sells high quality electronic items for both home and business use. Founder Konosuke Matsushita started Panasonic in 1918. Panasonic was first introduced into the U.S. market in 1959 under the name Matsushita Electric Corporation of America. In 2005, Matsushita became Panasonic, in an attempt to promote the brand and connect their consumers worldwide. Some of the electronic products that Panasonic manufactures include HDTVs, computers, cameras, security systems, networking systems, home appliances and more.

Panasonic houses much of its operations in the United States. They employ roughly 12,000 people in North America and Mexico. Their employees located in the region work in call centers, manufacturing plants, sales and services, business-to-business solution centers and more.

The company holds a high regard for corporate responsibility. Some of their many philanthropic activities include green recycling, assisting local emerging communities with technological advancements, support of the Olympic Games and more.
